I am the person you will actually talk to. Not a switchboard, not a case number. When you write, I am the one who answers, and I stay with you until the matter is closed.

Why I do this work

The face behind the firm

I have spent years on the other side of a counter that did not speak my language. I know what it feels like to hold a document you cannot read, in an office that closes at noon, while a deadline someone else chose keeps moving closer.

So I built my practice around the one thing clients kept telling me they were missing. Not more legal theory. A real person who picks up the file, explains it in plain English, and is still there when the last signature is needed. You always know who you are talking to. That single point of contact is me, with a specialist team behind it so that nothing waits and no matter rests on one pair of hands alone.

Outside the office I am a Neapolitan who believes a good conversation, often over good food, settles more than a stack of letters ever will. It is the same instinct that makes me a careful lawyer: pay attention, and treat the person in front of you well.

Where it began

Law, meeting technology

Before I represented expats and investors, I trained at the University of Naples Federico II and spent my early career where technology moves faster than the rules written to govern it.

My answer came first in music. I founded Subcava Sonora, the first record label in Italy to release its catalogue entirely under Creative Commons licences, building business models on top of copyright instead of against it. Handling those licences and contracts taught me how the law behaves when it meets new technology.

I also watched creators lose their own work to automated copyright systems that assume guilt first and ask questions later. So in 2021, in Naples, I founded Difesa d’Autore: a firm built for copyright, intellectual property and digital law, and among the first in Italy to offer structured legal advice on artificial intelligence. I built it as a team rather than a one-person office, specialists working across Italian, English and Spanish.

That work took me to international stages, from EASTAP to the EU Digital Deal and We Make Future, and to the pages of Agenda Digitale, where I still write on AI and digital rights. It taught me the habit I bring to every client: never let a person face a machine, or a bureaucracy, on their own.

Not a bridge. A key.

A bridge only connects two sides. A key opens the door and lets you walk through it. On every matter, that is the difference I work for.
